The enclave i always thout were evil becuse duh look at what they do but a thing i dont get is why the hell dont they wanna recruit any of the player characters they need units they need people ghouls too and super mutants are special but why not the player character makes no sense in my opinion

I believe the Enclave can only ever be villains, due to their nazi undertones. While they could potentially still spare the control groups from the Vaults because of their purity, I do not see them acting with benevolence towards wastelanders, who are all contaminated by radiation, and in their eyes a genetic dead end. For a faction so focused on purity, introducing 'defects' into the DNA of their offspring would reduce them to mutants, and allow decline to set in. Systematically murdering them eliminates the risk that they'll have to intermix with these people once they retake the wasteland. The FEV variant acts like chemotherapy in this case: destroy the the mutants and wasters while accepting the death of healthy specimens as collateral damage. Just like chemo, it is a drastic solution when less invasive, surgical methods fail. Any opposition within the Enclave to using such methods should come from the belief less radical operations, such as exterminating mutants and driving wastelanders out of Enclave territory is a more 'humane' solution to the problem. One that will not destroy the body of America further with the same radiation and disease they're so afraid of. But the idea that they would want wastelanders in 'their' America does not work for me. The Enclave are all descendant of highly successful, powerful and patriotic pre-war individuals who are defined by anti-communism. The words "all men are created equal" is worshipped as divine wisdom from other great men, not something to be applied to the wastelanders, who are so clearly inferior and polluted. In their eyes, asking that they use their technology and resources to feed the hungry, heal the sick and teach the ignorant is tantamount to turning America into a Marxist state. If the people of the wasteland weren't idle and stupid, they'd have fed themselves. And their bodies wouldn't be wracked with illness if their genes weren't so ravaged by radiation. Letting these people live in their America would make them a constant burder on the strong and healthy. And there is only one way to ensure such people do not remain a burden for long: you put them down. If the Enclave's way of dealing with the wastelanders seems stupid...hi, welcome to the foundational principles of national socialism! If you think that all their scientists and the inherited intelligence of their once-mighty ancestors makes it hard to believe they would choose such irrational and un-pragmatic policies, just remember: we had a whole nation of doctors, professors and administrators go down that path in 1930's Germany. Intellectuals would either sell out their principles to the nazis to be allowed to keep their jobs, or they had already come to the same conclusions after studying the great progress in the racial sciences done by their lauded colleagues in America, and had eagerly copied their homework to extrapolate on it. Eugenics becomes disturbingly easy when you are convinced your work will justify the means, and when you cannot see beyond the numbers that are being 'processed'. Yes, these people are dying, but they weren't really 'living' in the first place, were they? They were just taking up space, waiting for the end. Their deaths are like weeding a garden; it leaves more room and resources for the things you actually want to grow. Whether that be the German volk, or true America. The idea that Eden in 'malfunctioning' does not mesh with how the rest of the Enclave thinks, as he seems perfectly in alignment, though lacking in creativety. If anything, it is Colonel Autumn who doesn't fit in. He is the fascist within a nation of nazis, someone who believes that maybe the wastelanders can still be American citizens. That a more pragmatic approach can work. But he lives in a society of people already conditioned to go to the extreme in order to purge all mutants, and perceived mutants. If not for his rank, he would have been corrected of his error already. And he is still by no means a good person, evidenced by his gratuitously killing off one of Li's scientists to intimidate James, and his complete non-chalance when he shoots you if you're dumb enough to give him the code. All an outgrowth of being raised within a group that is trained to have no remorse for those who do not fit into their vision of America.

yes we do know the outcome of the NCR in FALLOUT 4 from the neuro implant from Kellog at the memory den when you look through his memories the one in San Francisco he is talking to his wife and going away back to Boston aka the commonwealth he mentions the NCR controls the entire west coast they won big time, just most people overlooks that cause of the search for Shawn and the oncoming battle of the Synths from the Institute, plus the run ins with gunners, super mutants the Cabot incident, far harbor the Brotherhood of Steel, the railroad, the minutemen, more raiders it gets a bit complex but not for me i love multiple stories that are connected it is quite easy to follow.

but then again it could be a decoy city cause of all the political unrest and the incident at Navarro with the G.E.C.K. from two intelligent super mutants you meet in new Vegas, and the onset threat of Caesar's legion at the first battle of Hoover dam it would be logical to have a decoy city to throw off any invasion force and then flank them with a barrage of death, plus this is only season one there is a lot of story to cover yet it would be like saying after watching the first episode of the classic Star trek oh humanity is dead the last survivors are on this ship looking for a new world to settle the end, the adventure is just beginning many connections are there give them time to uncover it many people just roll over the terminals and ignore the story's and letters and notes written on them i do read them there are mentions of the people seen in the series even about that snake oil guy who did something horrible to chickens and turned that squire into a ghoul like the games this series has a lot of connections with many stories that needs to have a light shone upon it maybe this event is one step to what leads up to the events in new Vegas about 6 years later a lot can happen in 6 years, to also put it more simpler remember the fifth element when leelu taken Korbins name off his apartment door and put it on teh shaver punks door one door before Korbins, the police raided his apartment cause of the Decoy, arrested for Radium smoking saving Korbin to save the world literally if not the universe the NCR did the same thing and don't forget the size of L.A. is freakking huge in any universe, and as for the power source it in itself is unstable and moldaver would not let it be taken so easily she might have a nasty surprise for the one faction of the brotherhood that leads to the small group of them in hidden valley and for them looking to Helios one for energy and the NCR battling them there both for the same reason a second decoy the back up plan that the brotherhood found out too late, and went to Helios to find the real thing we only see her in bits n pieces between the flashback she could have done anything at anytime and sending a big group of NCR to the Mojave to meet the desert rangers to call a united truce at the Mojave outpost to strengthen the ties and listening to the caravans going in and out and funny that the crimson caravan with so many brahmin going to and fro again with decoys and the group of special couriers 1 to 6 Ulysses being 5 and 6 being the protagonist in 2283, just got to listen and wait for what is to come even what Kellog mentions in F4 is very intriguing about the whole known west coast being ran byt the NCR they still have the cold fusion reactor and is powering their entire territory, using Helios one as decoy number 2 and the caravans as a general in Valarian once said prepare for the worst and you will not be disappointed and either will i, the story only has begun,

i have an odd what if even though it is mentioned once what about Cerulean blue electronics no one went in depth into that company who runs it or what if they were a old world faction that made a wicked return more than rivaling House and with the help of Cabot family in the beginning and as of late using power from relics to enhance anew form of warrior not by genetics or fev but by mystical energy and technology a very wicked mix a newly built metropolis out of nowhere, that has a secret tech complex hidden in Washington state, know as the platinum prefect, and the sapphire city and since the brotherhood found a actual nirnroot and is kept in the greenhouse on the Prydwen, a little more has appeared in the sapphire city and anomalies being contained and controlled by a masterful unknown person and it's under the radar dealings with particular persons manipulating each region to the boiling point to reveal itself to the world under the guise of a no name computer company adn the Cabots were just pawns in the big and long game are they here to bring back life to the wastelands or annihilate everything that would be a amazing what if story.

Yea, why enclave can be like brotherhood chapters, each one having his own POV of their main ideology, within the members of the enclave most of thembeing military branches that follow orders thinking for the greater good FOR HUMANITY >:D is literally a satire of the goverment, and morality at this point is just confusing :/

I want to see a Fallout game in a new location, with the only returning faction being the Enclave. More specifically, a version of the Enclave that resembles what the Raven Rock Enclave would look like if Colonel Autumn took over. Of course, joinable.

The idea that the USA would fire first is absolutely ridiculous. We have a strict no first-use policy. If a nuclear war were to ever happen, it would be agressive Russia who started it.

fallout 1 (or 2 i don't remember) power armors have similar thing to a fusion core but we never see them outside the armor because it cannot. And they can power the armor like a 1000 year

I am finding these What Ifs very entertaining. It is obvious that a lot of care and attention was put into it and that the Lore was taken seriously, unlike the treatment Modern Media gives to IPs. I found the Fallout show very frustrating, the lack of consequences and unrealistic pain thresholds took me out of it, they also didn't care about the Lore. Shady Shands got blown up because a Husband was angry his Wife ran away to be with another Woman.

So like other people said they could be holding up in Chicago or southern cities since we haven’t seen the American south yet. But also since America annexed Canada in Fallout there could tons of Enclave bases and soldiers there. Since Canada is so empty the Chinese might not have nuked it that much leaving the Enclave stronger there

With dc being the capital I see lots of power armor there for riot control and I’d guess it was T-45 armor as it was the cheapest. So dc uses T-45 due to it being in abundance.

I think it makes sense for 76 to have a lot of armors as the dwellers were probably taught how to use it and the way to craft parts of it.

I like to believe that Fallout and Metro are in the same universe. Fallout is what happened to USA and Metro is Russia. Sam references fallout in an optional dialogue during the cult portion of exodus when they come to rescue Anna from the bunker.

It’s like a movie taking place in my mind while listening to this, you sure have amazing story telling.

Enclave are "Technically" not that wrong, Wastelanders doesn't have anything that they can proof that they are American Citizen or Have legitimate visa to stay in America. They don't have certificate of birth, They don't have ID, They don't have Passport. This means that wastelander isn't american citizen. They are people staying / invading / terrorizing america. Only person inside vault or enclave member can be considered true american citizen. Law enforcement agency doesnt exist in fallout. However, Law still exist. 99% of wastelander are criminal with numerous crime commited

I think it is not unlikely that there are different towns and settlements that call themselves Shady / Shady Sands - we do this all the time. But I do think that it is a hickup in the lore and I'm really interested if they iron this out somehow or just roll with it. The show has claimed itself to be it's own universe / a story within a story so I'm more lax with the lore but I do see why many take this as gross mistake.

Very enjoyable tale.

This is a super old video and might have been mentioned before but I thought I'd add my thoughts. Fantastic story and it felt very believable as an alternate future. However I do have one criticism to make. Synths aren't robotic, they're organic with mechanical augmentations similar to kellogg, so some of this would go a little differently. Mostly it'd have no impact on the story, synth infiltrators are still coerced by and employed by the Institute to attempt an overthrow of the Enclave, however they would require specific orders and communications to co-ordinate the takeover. They're sleeper agents, not remote control soldiers, but the end result would be the same. The major difference would be since these synth agents are flesh and blood humans with cybernetics rather than machines in skin suits when the Institute is destroyed synth forces would react in unpredictable ways. Some would surrender, some would rejoice as their captors no longer hold a gun to their heads, and some would fight twice as hard in zealous retaliation. Ultimately the Institute will never have divulged the technology of creating new synths to their creations, seeing them as machines, so the synth resistance would eventually be wiped out by the Enclave with surviving members going into hiding or being assimilated into the Enclave. With the Institute wiped clean the Enclave would be unable to learn the secret of synth production but they would recover and adapt synth cybernetics into their forces, creating much stronger soldiers.
